Who We Are
We are a group of local volunteers committed to the maintenance, preservation and enhancement of the natural beauty of The Hollies woodland area.
The Hollies are situated in Weetwood, Leeds, and are linked to Meanwood Park.
Upon entering The Hollies from Weetwood Lane, there is a formally planted area with native and exotic tree species. This is set alongside seating areas and open spaces. The gardens contain an amazing variety of species!

Hi, I’m not sure if u can help me or not, I’m looking for a lovely little book all about the Hollies which included a poem starting ‘go to the Hollies in May’ A friend of mine whose moved to the north east is desperately missing the Hollies where she walked for many many years with her dog. She has a friend who got this book from Meanwood park cafe which is now shut. Do you have any ideas where I could get hold of a copy, I’d like to try and get one for her birthday at the end of May. Many thanks in advance. Nicola
I haven’t heard of the book, but I will ask other members.
Our annual plant sale is coming up on 19th May, and you might find some people there who know about the book.

Hello. My name is Jack I’m a gardener at yorkgate garden in Adel. I’m wondering if it’s possible to contact a gardener at the hollies to help me ID some rhododendrons.

Hi Jack. Many apologies for the delay in replying. I don’t have a contact number for the gardener at the Hollies but you might be able to contact him via Leeds City Council, or find him at work in The Hollies. I will also ask if any of our members might be able to help you. Our Plant Sale is taking place on Saturday 18th at 9.30 am, and Frank is usually there.
