Friends Of The Hollies

We will be meeting in the Hollies Car Park at 10am on Saturday 8 September!  Remember stout shoes, gloves and tools (spade/rake etc).

Home-made refreshments will be provided!

Just a quick reminder that there is a working party tomorrow, Saturday 14th July. 

Meeting at 10am, as usual, in The Hollies car park.  You’ll need stout shoes and gardening gloves – and possibly wellies!  Refreshments will be provided.

Please note that there will be no working party in August – our next one will be on 8th September.

Despite some slightly damp weather just before 10am, we had a rain-free session and even saw some sun!

At the plant sale we raised an amazing £90 from refreshments.  Many thanks to all who bought drinks, home-made cakes and even home-made dog biscuits!  But particular thanks to scouts from 19th North Leeds (St Chad’s) Scout troop who looked after everything and served people with a smile and lots of enthusiasm.

We were so lucky with the weather today and our efforts at the plant sale raised £670. An enormous thank you to everyone who came along to help and to buy.

We are holding a plant sale on Saturday 12th May from 11 am in The Hollies car park, just off Weetwood Lane.  It’s an ideal time to stock up on shrubs, perennials and bedding plants.  There will also be hot and cold drinks on sale, along with home-baked cakes!
