If you are visiting The Hollies in January look out for the following plants. All are in flower now and (except for the winter-fowering cherry) have wonderful scent.
- The Christmas Box (Sarcococca humilis) is a group of three small shrubs close to the Weetwood Lane entrance.
- The Eucryphia is a large evergreen shrub in the middle of the herbaceous border south of the house
- The winter-flowering Cherry (prunus subhirtella ‘Autumnalis’) is the tree growing above the witch hazels in the Collections Garden
- The Witch Hazels are in the Collections Garden, between the car park and the tennis courts.
