Seasonal Interest – More in March

Thanks to Andrew Pomeroy for these pictures of plants in flower now.

The Camellia and the Scilla are in the ‘Croquet lawn’ garden opposite the entrance from Weetwood Lane.  The Mahonia aquifolium is in the winter garden next to the car park.  The Prunus ‘Kursar’ is in the ‘Woodland Shrub Garden’ east of the tennis courts and west of Meanwood Beck.  The skunk cabbage is scattered along a small muddy stream running down to the mill leat.  The Rhododendrons are in various places scattered along the hillside – the major display of Rhododendrons will be in another few weeks.
