After a few mild meetings the winter finally weather caught up with us last time!

At 9am it was snowing but despite the wintry conditions a hardy group turned up and got on with clearing broken branches from the huge fur trees, pulling out brambles and clearing a stream. All in all it was a good morning’s work.

Our next date is Saturday March 12th, meeting in the main car park at 10am. It’s still very muddy so wear stout footwear and bring thick gloves – also the usual secateurs, spades and loppers. Refreshments will be provided as usual by our resident bakers.

Next dates are:
Saturday 9th April at 10am
Saturday 14th May at 9.30am for the plant sale
Saturday 11th June at 10am

Please start thinking about how you can help at the plant sale. We’ll be starting at 9.30 so will need as many volunteers as possible to help set up from 8.30 onwards. We also need people to man the stalls – taking money and possibly answering questions. We’ll be running a drinks and cake stall too so home made cakes in abundance please! There’ll be another reminder next time and it would be useful if you could e-mail a reply if you are able to help out.

As ever, publicity is all important so please start spreading the word!!
